Mooie, kleine externe geluidskaart met 8 uitgangen die alles heeft wat ik nodig had. Alleen, ik krijg deze niet geïnstalleerd op mijn PC. De nieuwste drivers hebben minimum windows 10 nodig. Ik werk met windows 7 en heb dus de drivers hiervoor gezocht op website van ESI en deze geïnstalleerd zonder probleem. Toch krijg ik het toestelletje niet verbonden met mijn PC (ergens een code 10). Beetje uitzoeken wat het probleem zou kunnen zijn maar tot geen oplossing gekomen. Dan ergens gevonden dat dit soms een probleem is bij USB gevoede toestellen en dat je dan best werkt via een externe gevoede USB-hub. Dit was ook niet de oplossing voor mij. En dan heb ik ergens een foute aansluiting gedaan waardoor het toestelletje de geest heeft gegeven wegens een overspanning. Dus dag garantie.
En toch heb ik het idee dat, als je het toestelletje verbonden krijgt, het een prima geluidskaart zou zijn.

Mini geluidskaart met grootse prestaties. Beetje huiverig altijd bij aanschaffen van nieuwe apparaten, zeker van de iets minder grote merken. Daar zijn haast geen reviews van te vinden. Uiteindelijk toch deze ESI gigaport EX geluidskaart gekocht. Wil er veel met 5.1 surround geluid mee gaan werken en dat gaat prima. Veel kleiner dan verwacht, maar het klinkt perfect. Meerdere vst instrumenten tegelijk zonder haperingen. 24-96 flac bestanden en SACD's klinken allemaal geweldig. Ik had een goede geluidskaart, maar deze is echt wel een stuk beter. En de gratis software van 2Tone is ook erg leuk, was eigenlijk al wel op zoek naar een dergelijk programma zonder dat ik deze kende. Perfect om meerdere instrumenten met effecten tegelijk "LIVE" te gebruiken en het toetsenbereik te verdelen. Denk dat ik de volledige versie wel ga aanschaffen, maar de ESI versie met 4 kanalen is ook al top. En natuurlijk snel geleverd door bax, maar dat is vanzelfsprekend!!
