Stuffed with renowned ESS Sabre32 DAC technology, the Motu UltraLite mk5 doesn't just deliver a dynamic range of 125dBs, but ensures unparalleled separation and supreme clarity. Besides that, you get exactly the kind of high-end performance you would only expect from an interface of this calibre, thanks to the ultra-stable drivers.
Whether recording or monitoring, you're assured of near-zero latency, and since the fully optimised drivers ensure that any round-robin latency caused by the communication between the interface and the computer and back again, stays way below an audible level - 2.4ms to be precise, you won't notice a thing whether recording or monitoring.

Built for Live & Studio Sound

The compact UltraLite mk5 has been given a solid Motu-grade build so it can take on a live setup as well as a studio, and can even be set up without a computer in standalone mode, giving you the freedom to do things like mix live audio without fear of your laptop failing or getting damaged. It offers 40 channels that can all be used at the same, so you get 18 inputs and 22 outputs, and besides the pair of microphone/line-instrument inputs fitted on the front control panel, this interface offers a further six line inputs and 10 line outputs, a headphone output and an 8-channel ADAT-IN and OUT channel. The optical ports can even be used as stereo channels. Finishing an already pretty complete picture, the UltraLite mk5 provides a MIDI input and output for seamless integration with your more-vintage gear.

iOS Compatible & Loopback Function for Streaming

Since the UltraLite mk5 USB is class compliant, it's essentially a plug-n-play interface and is also compatible with iPads and other Apple devices, so you can record directly to an iPad or play backing tracks during a gig. Using the iOS compatible CueMix 5 app, a mass of useful monitoring options are provided, and another useful feature is the loopback function, making it possible to stream and send your computer audio while, at the same time, sending the inputs and outputs of the interface to your podcasting software - meaning this is just as valuable a tool for streaming online content and making podcasts as it is for making recordings and tweaking live sound. The Motu UltraLite mk5 has also been fully prepared for Apple Silicon computers and the Big Sur operating system.
