General

The M4 Audio Interface by Motu is a genuine jack of all trades and features outstanding conversion and preamps. The converters inside the M4 are the same as those found in many, much more expensive interfaces. Well-developed USB drivers from Motu allow for a Round Trip Latency of 2.5 milliseconds so even the most critical sound engineer won't have reason to complain. What makes both the M2 and M4 interfaces unique is a multi-colour LCD display, which keeps you up-to-date with important information such as level metering and input clipping. A loopback function has been added; ideal for podcasters that combine computer audio with live-streaming platforms and, to finish, a sizeable software bundle comprised of Motu Performer, Ableton Live Lite and a number of loops and virtual instruments comes included with the Motu M4.
