General
The M4 Audio Interface by Motu is a genuine jack of all trades and features outstanding conversion and preamps. The converters inside the M4 are the same as those found in many, much more expensive interfaces. Well-developed USB drivers from Motu allow for a Round Trip Latency of 2.5 milliseconds so even the most critical sound engineer won't have reason to complain. What makes both the M2 and M4 interfaces unique is a multi-colour LCD display, which keeps you up-to-date with important information such as level metering and input clipping. A loopback function has been added; ideal for podcasters that combine computer audio with live-streaming platforms and, to finish, a sizeable software bundle comprised of Motu Performer, Ableton Live Lite and a number of loops and virtual instruments comes included with the Motu M4.

Produit repondant parfaitement a mon besoin mini studio avec utilisation de cubase pro 15 et clavier maitres avec enceintes de monitoring. J ai reduis considerablement le temps de latence avec une audio superbe permettant de faire des enregistrements temps reels sans aucun soucis. Je recommande ce produit.

Na de M2 te gebruiken gedurende een aantal jaren, kwam ik inputs te kort. De M4 komt met exact dezelfde specificaties en twee extra inputs. Top kwaliteit die nooit teleursteld!

Hoefde geen drivers te downloaden, werkte gewoon out of the box!! Geluid is super transparant en ik merkte bij hoge amplificatie ook geen enkele vervorming!

De motu M4 aangesloten en binnen de 2 minuten werkte die perfect via Linux. Ondertussen getest met ubuntu, mint en zorin en alles werkt perfect. Tot daar het goede nieuws. Ik kocht de motu M4 niet alleen voor z'n zeer goede kwaliteit maar ook omdat zowel MOTU als BAX aangaf dat deze ook moet werken op een PC met WIN 7. Niet dus. Echt geen noot muziek uit te krijgen. De support van BAX stuurde me een link naar een driver site van MOTU maar die geeft aan dat de MOTU M4 enkel WIN 10 is. Ik weet dat WIN 7 al geruime tijd voorbij is maar waarom dan vermelden dat deze compatibel is met WIN 7 ? ik heb nog een standalone PC met oa een oudere vesie van Reason die ik graag wou blijven gebruiken.

Mooi product makkelijk in gebruik en werkt goed met alle Daw software en wat het makkelijkste is met deze is dat je met het kleine LCD schermpje makkelijk de gains kan afstellen

Mooi en functioneel apparaat. Heb zitten twijfelen tussen deze en de focusrite en uiteindelijk op grond van reviews gekozen voor de Motu. Geen spijt van tot nu toe. Ik ben vooral ook blij met de vu-metertjes voorop, dat geeft toch net even wat meer info. En de extra loop mogelijkheden zijn ook goed en nuttig. Alles voelt degelijk aan.
Ik werk met Arturia en BitWig en dat gaat samen met de Motu 4 vlekkeloos.

Ik heb deze gekocht omdat m'n 25 Ohm hoofdtelefoon niet zuiver klonk op m'n oude Focusrite Scarlett Gen2. Ik had gelezen dat de Motu M2 en M4 lage uitgangsimpedantie hebben en daardoor minder ruimte geven aan de hoofdtelefoon om te kleuren. Resultaat is een duidelijk strakker geluid! En ook beter stereobeeld, strakkere bas en minder stoffig hoog. Sommigen zeiden dat deze niet hard kan, maar bij mij kan hij zo hard dat m'n oren zeer doen. Dus dat zit ook wel goed.
En o ja, de ADC's zijn inderdaad rete-strak.
Hier ga ik nog veel plezier mee hebben!
