General
The Studio 192 Mobile is a compact audio interface that is teeming with possibilities. Just one of the advantages of this device is its 19-inch rack size, which means it's easy to take with you to recording sessions or on location. Its sound card is also easily expanded by means of a Toslink cable. This way, you can add eight extra microphones to a PreSonus DP88, for instance, and adjust the preamps individually from a distance. The USB 3.0 Studio 192 Mobile interface comes complete with Studio One Artist, which offers excellent integration.
More than meets the eye
At first glance, the Studio 192 Mobile looks like your average audio interface. It has two microphone/instrument inputs on the front and two line inputs on the rear, plus two master outputs. An interesting possibility would be to connect a second set of monitor speakers and a headphone amplifier to the 4 extra line outputs. The included UC Surface software is also an added bonus. Anyone who mixes regularly will surely agree, there are never enough screens. With UC Surface, you can use wireless technology to add a mixer interface to the screen on your external PC, Mac or iPad!
Professional features
The Studio 192 Mobile has wide variety of professional features. For starters, it enables you to stream more than 20 inputs and outputs at 48 kHz to your computer, or 8 inputs and 14 outputs at 192 kHz. You can also adjust the impressive XMAX preamps using the Studio One, Studio Remote or UC Surface, and you even have a Fat Channel plugin at your disposal. With the combination of high pass, noise gate, parametric equalizer and a limiter, you can fine-tune the sound of every analogue input and 8 ADAT inputs with a mere 2 ms latency.
