General
So powerful it might be intimidating, the Antelope Audio Galaxy 32 Synergy Core audio interface and AD/DA converter supplies a Thunderbolt 3 port, a Dante port, a Pro Tools HDX port, thirty-two analogue inputs and outputs - and via the digital HDX, MADI and Dante ports - up to sixty-four simultaneous input and output channels. Basically, this interface creates a bridge between your existing hardware and systems, presenting a fully optimised workflow while taking up just 1U of rack space. Besides the eye-watering amount of I/O options, the Galaxy 32 provides high-resolution conversion and 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC), meaning that your studio just got better than ever.
Unrivalled Audio Quality
The exceptionally spacious and incredibly detailed stereo soundstage of all Antelope Audio interfaces is already unrivalled, and it's the 64-bit AFC that's largely responsible for this level of quality. This couples with the ultra-transparent conversion and the roomy 130 decibels of headroom. Basically, everything that any professional mixing and recording engineer could ever dream of.
128 Real-Time Effects Over 32 Channels
Then there are the effects that come with the Synergy Core platform. The Galaxy 32 is set up to apply and edit eight effects per channel, which amounts to 128 effects that can be tweaked in real-time, and all of it happens inside the interface, easing the load on the processor of your computer and leaving your CPU free to take care of other essential tasks. As standard, thirty-seven effects come included and new effects can always be purchased on the Antelope Audio site. And, as you'd only expect, the sound of every effect comes as close as it gets to the original hardware they emulate.
Firmware Update for Mixing in Dolby Atmos
After a firmware update, the Galaxy 32 can be set up to mix in immersive 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos, and within the sixteen channels, you're free to do whatever you want with the internal routing and Synergy Core platform effects. The update also adds a new speaker management tab to the Galaxy 32 mixer environment, so you can feed the channels where needed. A list of surround sound formats is also offered along with the option to create your own custom formats, and from there, you can select your surround sound delay, EQ and surround level; keep a close eye on the metering; keep the lower frequencies in check via the LFE crossover mixer; and adjust the high and low pass filters as preferred. Essentially, when it comes to this feature, the Galaxy 32 Synergy Core is probably unbeatable.
