General
Shure has developed two directional microphones specifically for use at video recordings with digital cameras. This version, the VP83F, is equipped with a built-in Flash Recorder - this means that HD film recordings with low-quality sound are a thing of the past. With this microphone, the quality of the sound is at least as high as that of the images.
Built-in flash recorder for High-Definition sound recordings
With the built-in flash recorder of the VP83F LensHopper microphone, you will be able to create sound recordings in WAV format with a sample rate of 24-bit/48 kHz, which is High Definition audio! The VP83F stores its recordings on a standard micro SDHC card, which is easily accessible via the front of the microphone. Moreover, a low-cut filter filters out unwanted background noises, adding to the sublime quality. You can easily connect this microphone to the audio input of your camera via the included1/8-inch jack cable, allowing you to record video and audio simultaneously.
Intuitive menu and one-button recording
The VP83F has an easy-to-read LCD display with indicators for battery life, track information, headphone volume, microphone gain, low-cut filter and remaining recording time. You can save up to 15 hours of audio on an 8GB card and adjust the input volume in steps of 1 dB with the knob on the back. Additionally, this Shure microphone is suspended in a lightweight Rycote shock mount, which keeps annoying handling noise out of your recordings. All in all, the Shure VP83F is a lightweight, compact shotgun microphone that is very durable and practical to use.
