The Shure Beta 56A is a dynamic microphone with a frequency range that has been tailored to amplify and record instruments. Als achtergrond zingende drummer was ik al een aardige tijd op zoek naar een goede microfoon.
- Shure Beta 57a geprobeerd: prima geluid, maar de microfoon is te lang, zeker in combinatie met het snoer aan de achterkant. Dus die kreeg met enige regelmaat een klap te verduren...
- Toen 2 headset microfoons geprobeerd; de Shure WH20XLR, maar die zat niet lekker. En de Beyer Dynamics TGH34, maar die gaf teveel bleed van de snare en bekkens.

Toen las ik dat veel zingende drummers de beta 56a gebruiken, terwijl die eigenlijk aangeraden wordt voor toms en snare. Dus ook maar eens uitproberen...
Dit werkt inderdaad erg goed! Hij klinkt misschien niet zo mooi als een beta 58a, maar voor achtergrond zang is dit meer dan voldoende!
Er komt bijna geen bleed binnen, dat is zeer fijn! En door de vorm waarbij je de microfoon rechtsreeks op de standaard schroeft en de kabel onderlangs bevestigd, is de kans dat je 'm raakt met je stokken best klein.
Blij mee! Dit is een blijvertje!

Wrote the following about Shure Beta 56A dynamic instrument microphone

Ben zowel drummer als vocalist en heb lang gestoeid met een goede balans in geluid. Door deze microfoon te gaan gebruiken voor de vocals zijn alle problemen verdwenen. Voor drummers die net als ik last heeft (gehad) van onverstaanbaarheid is deze microfoon absoluut de oplossing.
