General

The Shure A1WS microphone windshield is made of Shure's own acoustically transparent material, and it reduces unwanted noise caused by breath and wind, without affecting the quality of the sound itself. A few examples of the sounds this windshield counters are pops and taps that are caused by holding the microphone too close to your mouth, or wind noise when you're recording outside. The A1WS is suited for the Beta 56A, Beta 57A and 515 series microphones, as well as the no longer available Shure 10A, Beta 56 and Beta 57.
