The single most annoying thing about using a microphone outside, is that the wind has free rein. That means that you run the risk of polluting your recordings with an overdose of wind noise, which would bother your audience to no end! Luckily, Shure developed the A58WS microphone windscreen that allows you to protect your ball-type microphone from wind and breath noise. This windscreen was developed with virtually any large ball-type microphone in mind, and fits models like the Shure SM58, Beta 58A and SM48.
It's made of a special foam that ensures only the unwanted noise is filtered out without detrimentally affecting the overall quality of your microphone's sound! What's more, the A58WS is available in six different colours, which can help you quickly identify which microphone is yours, or which mic belongs to which channel. All in all, it's a versatile solution with a remarkably attractive price tag!

Ik ben zeer blij met mijn aankoop. Je krijgt zekers waar voor je geld. Zelf heb ik gelezen dat dit enkel handig is voor wind maar het opnemen gaat er ook super goed mee. De verzendkosten zijn ook nog eens het minst duur.

Zelf heb ik dit windscherm besteld om te gebruiken in combinatie met de Tascam DR-05 omdat het daarvoor bedoelde windscherm nogal duur was. Deze past er echter ook prima op en doet wat het moet doen (Hij bedekt alleen wel de helft van het scherm, maar dat is met wat knipwerk wel op te lossen :P )
