With a ball corner like this one from Penn Elcom, you increase the sturdiness of your entire flight case. By mounting it on the corners, which is incidentally very easy to do by means of the six pre-drilled holes, you protect it from impacts. This ball corner is made of two-millimetre-thick steel, has an internal radius of two millimetres and an offset for a 30/30 profile.
