Its solid top is made of specially selected Engelmann spruce, which is an open, strongly resonating wood type that nicely complements the rosewood, ensuring additional warmth and a balanced tone. Yamaha LL16 ARE: body and pickup

This LL-model guitar has an Original Jumbo-style body, a shape that's famous for its sizeable volume, excellent balance and wide dynamic range. Internal bracing enhances the bass response without sacrificing transparency, and the five-ply neck was designed to play as comfortably as possible. Finally, this guitar's SRT Zero Impact pickup, consisting of six piezo pickups, transmits its signal without running it through an preamp first, making sure your sound isn't coloured by internal electronics. This pickup truly lives up to its name!

Acoustic Resonance Enhancement

Yamaha used a healthy dose of technology during the development of the LL16. By way of Acoustic Resonance Enhancement, a new piece of Engelmann spruce was enhanced to take on the superior sound characteristics of vintage wood. The ARE process involves mixing up a cocktail of precise amounts of temperature, air pressure and moisture in order to change the molecular makeup of the wood. This means that the LL16 ARE comes out of the box with the full, rich tone of a vintage guitar that you'd typically have to wait for years to develop. This outstanding Yamaha has a great sound, excellent playability, and comes with a soft case.
