Yamaha LS6 ARE: construction and pickup

Yamaha's LS6 model features a manageable body with internal bracing that enhances bass response without sacrificing transparency. Its five-ply neck was designed to feel as comfortable as possible. This electro-acoustic guitar's Zero Impact pickup truly lives up to its name; as it doesn't have a preamp, it leaves the instrument's construction fully intact, and it won't colour your sound by means of internal electronics. Acoustic Resonance Enhancement

Yamaha used a healthy dose of technology during the development of the LS6. By way of Acoustic Resonance Enhancement, a new piece of Engelmann spruce was enhanced to take on the superior sound characteristics of vintage wood. The ARE process involves mixing up a cocktail of precise amounts of temperature, air pressure and moisture in order to change the molecular makeup of the wood. That means that the LS6 ARE comes out of the box with the full, rich tone of a vintage guitar that you'd typically have to wait for years to develop. This outstanding Yamaha has a great sound, excellent playability, and comes with a soft case.
