General
Catalinbread worked closely with the Moseley family to bring back a number of authentic 'new old stock' Fuzzrite pedals. These pedals were used as the starting point for their own reproduction. The original Fuzzrites were studied carefully so that Catalinbread could produce a new model with the same authentic sound and response. The Moseley Fuzzrite was developed in collaboration with Mark Moseley, who used to build the original pedals together with his father Andy and Uncle Semie in the original Mosrite factory in Bakersfield.
Moseley Fuzzrite: iconic fuzz
The Fuzzrite's sound was at the heart of many psychedelic and garage bands back in the '60s. Its characteristic sound can be heard on many recordings from that period including Iron Butterfly's “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” and The Stooges “I Wanna Be Your Dog”. There are just two resistors that let you choose between a full-on fuzz or a richer, warmer version. With the depth control, you can adjust the brightness and gain, while the volume control adjusts the overall output.
