Wrote the following about Dunlop FFM1 Fuzz Face Mini Silicon guitar effect pedal

De knoppen lijken overbodig en kan teleurstellen bij het eerste gebruik. In feite moet de gain knop zo goed als maximaal staan en controleer je de gain met gitaarvolumeknop. Geen knop voor toon, bias, etc. Maar het geluid is gewoon heel goed. Een lange sustain, mooie low end, en heldere crispy bovenlaag. Dat geluid is af en voor die prijs vind je moeilijk een beter fuzz geluid.

Ik heb deze (FFM1, de donkerblauwe) en de Jimi Hendrix-versie (FFM3, de turquoise). Toegegeven, de JH heeft véél betere clean-up en beduidend meer output/bass, maar toch is de donkerblauwe mijn absolute favoriet gebleken!! Zijn gruizige en heerlijk onvolmaakte fuzzklank is exact wat ik in mijn hoofd hoorde. Pro tip: met een licht oversturende OCD (of gelijkaardige) "britse" stijl van overdrive erachter kom je héél dicht in de buurt van Jimi's 1970 liveklank!
