Product information

General

The DiMarzio DP218W Super Distortion S packs the same high-output sound as the classic Super Distortion. The difference is that it's a little smaller which means it's directly compatible with Stratocasters - no milling or modifying required. This beefy humbucker also fully supports that classic slanted bridge position, ensuring ultimately tight and defined sound across all six strings.

Fat And Dynamic Tone At All Times

Most dual-coil pickups that are made using twin blades don't do well as single-coils. That's because twin blades are thin and only register a small part of the string, resulting in thinner tone. While also fitted with twin blades, when flipped into a single-coil voicing via a push/pull knob, the DiMarzio DP 218W actually maintains thick, dynamic tone that's similar to traditional Strat sound.
