General
The idea behind the DiMarzio DP219F D Activator Neck was to strike a good balance between the strengths of active pickups and the strengths of passive pickups. There is a big difference between an element that sounds clear and an element that sounds 'thin'. A pickup with a thin sound often sounds quite thin in the high registers and has little body in the mid to low registers. The DiMarzio D Activator Neck is designed to give a sparkling bright sound without compromising on body or low-end. This is an F-spaced pickup, which means it only fits guitars with a Floyd Rose or similar tremolo bridge.
