General

Since thinner bodied electric guitars or basses leave little space for mounting the electronics, the Alpha ALPS500-A48 metric potentiometer has a smaller size to complete a snug and neat fit. The logarithmic resistance curve sets it up to serve as a volume control pot and the 500K impedance is ideal for higher output pickups like humbuckers, completing a tight and affordable replacement for old, crackling pots.

Please note: This potentiometer has a metric (coarse) shaft with 18 teeth (knurling) and is only compatible with metric pot covers. These pot covers can be found on models like those made in Japan, China, Korea and Indonesia. For American made pot covers, it's best to use potentiometers made by companies like Fender or CTS.
