On a cold evening in March 1968, Jimi Hendrix performed in the Field House Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. A young Seymour Duncan hadmet Jimi earlier that day at Xavier University and given him a set of pickups that he had made especially for him as a gift. Roger Mayer installed them in Jimi's guitar and the rest is history. This evening marked the beginning of Seymour Duncan's legacy.

The bridge pickup offers an agressive attack for a lead sound that cuts easily through any mix. The neck pickup sounds fat and full which is ideal when playing blues chords and double-stops. In the mid position, you can count on the typical Strat quack.

Authentic sound

The inverted Alnico 5 magnets are designed to give you a sound that comes as close to Hendrix as possible. The sound is similar to what you would get by turning your guitar upside down and stringing it for a left-handed player just like Hendrix used to do. This Voodoo Style set consists of three pickups, a 3-ply white pickguard, 250K potentiometers and a 5-way pickup switch. Install this pickup set in your Strat and get ready for your own Experience!
