General
The SH-55b is the culmination of a unique collaboration between Seymour Duncan and humbucker inventor Seth Lover. This bridge-position guitar pickup is an exact replica of the original 1955 P.A.F. To ensure an authentic sound, it is traditionally crafted with an Alnico II bar magnet, wooden spacers, enamelled wire and a nickel-plated silver backplate. Whilst brass often naturally cuts off the high end, this silver design actually retains that essential sparkle. The result is a beautiful, warm and open vintage tone with a balanced low end and soft yet articulate highs. This gold-plated double-coil pickup with a single-core lead cable has a medium output. This makes it particularly well-suited to genres such as country, jazz, blues and classic rock.
