Slash and Seymour Duncan have been a staple combination in the rock world for decades. With the Slash 3.0 Humbucker Set, he takes the next step: more output, more bite and an even more direct response, without losing the clarity and honesty of his recognisable sound. This set (neck + bridge) was developed for a specific moment: Guns N’ Roses at the “Back to the Beginning” tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, where Slash needed just that extra bit of oomph.

More bite, tighter low end

The Slash 3.0 is the highest-output and most aggressive pickup in the Slash series. Expect tighter bass response, a faster attack and a rawer edge, ideal for heavy riffs, punchy leads and dynamic rock playing. At the same time, it remains surprisingly precise and transparent, so chords don’t get muddled and your pick attack remains clearly audible. At its core is a rough-cast Alnico V magnet, which delivers that characteristic blend of power and definition.

Flexible mounting and wiring options

This version features a shielded 4-conductor cable, giving you more options than standard humbucker wiring: coil splitting, series/parallel and phase switching are all possible (depending on your circuit). Thanks to the short mounting legs, the set fits into more guitars, such as flat-top models, thin-bodied guitars and ‘superstrat’-style instruments, and direct body mounting is also an option. Hand-built in Santa Barbara (USA) using classic construction methods, including wooden spacers and vacuum wax potting.
