General
This 14-inch Sound Edge hi-hat is a warm-sounding, sparkling hi-hat from Paiste's 2002 Series. While the gear in this professional series feels right at home in any rock kit, the cymbals also work great for various other styles, whether in the studio or on the stage. Since this model has the Sound Edge design with a waved lower cymbal, it offers quick response and tons of energy while preventing airlocks to keep out unwanted puffs of air.
Paiste's 2002 Cymbals
Entire generations of rock drummers were raised with the 2002 series cymbals from Paiste. Introduced back in 1971, they're made of B8 bronze (CuSn8) and is the first series of pro-grade cymbals to use this high-quality alloy aptly nicknamed '2002 Bronze'. The cymbals produce typical classic rock sound but because they're sparkling, transparent and warm, they also go well with various other styles.
