Paiste 2002 Black Big Beat 15" hi-hat

You can expect a warm, fat, deep, slightly muddy sound from this 15-inch hihat. Yet these cymbals have excellent stick definition and response. They sound a bit fuller and richer than the 14-inch hihats we know from Paiste's 'normal' 2002 series. The upper cymbal is medium thin and the lower cymbal is medium. The cymbals are not so suitable for very small line-ups and situations where very soft playing is required. They are, however, musically versatile.

Paiste 2002 Black Big Beat

Forty-five years after the first 2002 cymbals were launched, Paiste comes up with a new concept: the 2002 Black Big Beat cymbals. Based on the legendary 2002 cymbals, but just a bit bigger, just a bit more warmth and depth which makes the mix of these Black Big Beat cymbals sound extra complex. These 2002 Black Big Beat cymbals come in sizes ranging from 18 to 24 inches. Each cymbal is suitable for use as either a crash or a ride. Two pairs of hihat cymbals are available in the same series: 15 and 16 inches.
