General
To be used as a crash or as a ride: this 2002 Black Big Beat has an 18-inch diameter, making it the smallest in the series. The cymbal has a predominantly warm, deep, complex sound and medium sustain. An excellent response and a well-controllable decay make this cymbal ideal for use as a crash or as a ride. Thanks to the integrated cup, the whole cymbal cooperates and a nice mix of overtones sounds when you play on the cup. The cymbal is particularly suitable for medium to louder volumes.
Paiste 2002 Black Big Beat
Forty-five years after the first 2002 cymbals were launched, Paiste comes up with a new concept: the 2002 Black Big Beat cymbals. Based on the legendary 2002 cymbals, but just a touch bigger, just a bit more warmth and depth making the mix of these Black Big Beat cymbals sound extra complex. These 2002 Black Big Beat cymbals come in sizes ranging from 18 to 24 inches. Each cymbal is suitable for use as either a crash or a ride, and two pairs of hihat cymbals are available in the same series: 15 and 16 inches. The cymbals were carefully handmade and hammered in Switzerland.

Paiste 2002 is sowieso topspul! Vooral voor de stevigere muzieksoorten zoals (classic)rock en dergelijke.
Deze crash-ride is lekker veelzijdig. Net groot genoeg voor rideritmes en toch nog klein genoeg voor een redelijk snel crasheffect.
Met dit bekken kan je eigenlijk alle kanten op. Aanrader!
