This cymbal has a diameter of 24 inches and can be used as a ride, but also as a crash. Overall, the cymbal has a warm, deep and clear sound and possesses many complex overtones. Used as a ride, the stick hits come out excellently, and if you connect the cymbal as a crash, you will hear a nice, low, 'wash'. The decay is easy to control and the sustain is medium to long. Forty-five years after the first 2002 cymbals were launched, Paiste comes up with a new concept: the 2002 Black Big Beat cymbals. Based on the legendary 2002 cymbals, but just a touch bigger, just a bit more warmth and depth making the mix of these Black Big Beat cymbals sound extra complex. These 2002 Black Big Beat cymbals come in sizes ranging from 18 to 24 inches. Each cymbal is suitable for use as a crash or ride, and two pairs of hihat cymbals are available in the same series: 15 and 16 inches. The cymbals were carefully handmade and hammered in Switzerland.
