The Paiste 2002 8-inch splash is the textbook example of the classic rock splash sound. This effect cymbal from the highly popular professional 2002 series therefore does an excellent job in rock, blues and hard rock. But this warm, bright and explosive splash also does a good job in various other styles. It also responds pleasantly to your attack, has a moderate volume and can be used both live and in the studio. With its 8-inch diameter, the Paiste 2002 splash 8-inch is the smallest and therefore tallest splash in the series.
Whole generations of rock drummers have grown up with Paiste's 2002 cymbals. Introduced in 1971, these cymbals are made of B8 bronze (CuSn8 Bronze). The Paiste 2002 was the first pro series to use this high-quality alloy. B8 is therefore also known as '2002 Bronze'. The cymbals produce typical classic rock sounds, but are also suitable for various other styles. The sound is sparkling, transparent, warm and strong.
