General
The focus of these hi-hats is none-too-subtly included in the name: the Sabian 11589XN HHX Groove Hi-Hat has genuinely been made for the groove. Giving a deliciously old-school sound that's packed with warmth, and (thanks to the very special HHX treatment) a more than healthy dose of stick definition. This set of hats delivers enough clarity to hold up the tightest of funk bands and is able to shape precisely the same dynamics you have in your head. Play it with your foot, and you get a solid, broad, and low 'chick'.
