General

As a beginning drummer, you obviously don't want to spend too much money, but you also don't want to compromise too much on quality. Zildjian's Planet Z series is the perfect middle ground in that! After all, this Zildjian Planet Z 14-inch hi-hat certainly doesn't sound bad for the price. The hi-hat has a medium-weight top hat and a heavy-weight bottom hat. This gives you a nice stick definition and a clear 'chick'. The sustain can be described as short to medium when the hi-hat is played open. The hi-hat is especially suitable for music styles like pop and rock, but can certainly be used all-round.
