General

Most will be familiar with the various methods of generating a sound. AAS String Studio VS-3 is one of them, but probably the least known. Not (virtual) analogue synthesis, sample playback or FM is in charge here, but a string model. You choose from plucked string, bowed string and hammered string. Then you can set a huge amount of detail, things that are characteristic of strings. So you'll also have to learn a little bit of new jargon, but of course it's worth the effort. A spacious effects section is not missing either, for the finishing touch. The big advantage of this synth is that the strings behave like strings, in a way that is again not (easily) possible with other synths. So if you like tinkering with strings: VS-3 loves that too!
