Sugar Bytes Factory is a kind of modular synth in software form. Not with modules and virtual patch cables, but with a large modulation matrix designed to "combine what no one else has combined before." Using Factory, sources can be coupled to a target to a specified degree, and while it looks like a simple synth, nothing could be further from the truth. The modulation matrix is essential since it basically determines the architecture of the synth, but you're also provided access to various separate modules packed with extra options. As such, the type of synthetic sounds you'll be creating aren't set in stone, but will in most cases be used in combination with other sounds and/or synths.
