Peavey KB 5 Keyboard Amplifier

Within Peavey's KB series, the KB 5 constitutes the largest keyboard amplifier. What sets this model apart from the rest is that it features a stereo mixer with five channels and 150 watts of power distributed over two 10-inch speakers. As for channels one to four, you can use these in different ways. For instance, not only is it possible to connect a keyboard or synthesiser, but also a guitar, a drum machine or a microphone. Channel five serves monitoring purposes, which means it can be used as a click track without being completely placed on the line out.

KB 5: tone control and plenty of options

Apart from the monitoring channel, the other channels have EQ control to further perfect the sound. Furthermore, it is possible to use effects using the stereo effects loop. And to eliminate hum, you have a ground lift switch at your disposal. When it comes to controlling overdrive, DDT compression is available, so you don't have to worry about that either. If you want to go for an even fuller sound, it is always possible to expand the system by means of an extra speaker. The KB 5 is equipped with a headphone output and, of course, it is also possible to send it all to a PA system via the balanced stereo output.
