The Roland BK-5 is a remarkably elaborate and user-friendly keyboard for one-man bands and amateur musicians. This backing keyboard features a wide range of accompanying instruments, solo sounds and pre-programmed rhythms and audio tracks. It is also possible to play along to MP3 files, which you can open directly from a USB stick or a hard drive and play via the built-in speakers. You can use these external devices to store your own creations as audio files as well.

The MIDI software on your computer can be controlled by means of the second USB connector of the keyboard, or via the classic MIDI connectors. In short, this highly complete yet accessible backing keyboard is ideal if you already have a bit of musical experience, but makes a great starter model as well.
