Designed with wandering musicians and ambitious beginners in mind, the Roland GO:KEYS 5 combines a clean-and-intuitive control lay-out with the powerful ZEN-Core engine — the same sound engine that you can find under the hood of the Japanese brand's high-end synths and stage pianos.
The Roland GO:KEYS 5
As minimalistic as it may look in terms of physical controls, the Roland GO:KEYS 3 is nothing short of fully loaded when it comes to sounds and rhythms. For a start, you're looking at more than 1,100 sounds plus 74 drum kits and over 200 rhythms. What's more, this tight little keyboard can be upgraded with Z-Style Packs, Wave Expansions and Sound Packs from the Roland Cloud, which means it's fully future-proof. In addition, you also get an AUX so you can hook up an external playback device, and a microphone jack input that's backed up with various vocals effects, including harmony.
Other Highlights
As befits a modern bit of kit, the GO:KEYS 5 features Bluetooth, a built-in USB audio-interface and a USB-MIDI interface, supports WAV/MP3 playback from USB sticks, and has been crammed with a mass of effects and rhythms. Since it weighs less than five kilos, has built-in speakers and can run on eight AA batteries, it's a great choice for roaming musicians as well as for beginners who want to get off to a good start.

Aanvankelijk een Roland FP-10 digitale piano aangeschaft. Bij nader inzien minder geschikt voor mij, vrij zware toetsaanslag en een (te) groot klavier wat ik niet ga gebruiken. Speel met SimplyPiano maar een groot nadeel dat je geen eigen klank daarmee kan produceren vanwege de midi beperkingen. Nu voor de Roland GO keys5 gegaan, een fantastisch apparaat met 1000 en 1 mogelijkheden. Ben al sinds de jaren ‘70 geïnteresseerd in synthesizers en keyboard. Dit apparaat heeft alles in huis, ook via de geavanceerde aansluitingen kan ik nu elke klank produceren via SimplyPiano zonder gedoe met een externe mixer. Verder een perfecte service bij BAX voor het omruilen

Na wat demofilmpjes te hebben gezien en lang nadenken en vergelijken met andere keyboards gekozen voor dit simpele maar super goed klinkende keyboard. Hiervoor een Yamaha gehad, maar deze stelt me niet teleur! Het menu is wat ouderwets en simpel en daardoor soms wat inefficiënt, maar ondanks dat kan je alles naar je smaak maken en opslaan. Dat naast de vele ingebouwde styles en sounds. De kwaliteit van de speakers zijn ondanks het compacte formaat van het keyboard ook erg goed en met de bluetooth ondersteuning kan je lekker meespelen terwijl je muziek van bv. je smartphone ook door de speakers heen komen.
