The Mojave MA-37 large-diaphragm valve condenser microphone packs a retro-futuristic look as well as a distinctly different sound compared to various famed German and Austrian counterparts - courtesy of a design based on the revered Sony C-37a. Just like its Japanese cousin, the MA-37 boasts masses of headroom and excels at reining in harsh and loud sources. In addition to an EF86 valve, you'll find a Lundahl transformer under the hood, plus a microphone capsule that's based on the original 1930's RCA design that was later adopted by Sony. In a word, this Mojave microphone is a studio-collection essential.
