In modern music history, several microphones have been made that have achieved legendary status. And when that's going on, you know what it means. Just try to find one, and especially take an aspirin first if you dare to look at the asking price. So in the past, a stereo condenser tube microphone was made by one of the big microphone brands. Today, that would buy you a fat posh German car. So kudos to Warm Audio for releasing just that model under its own banner, for an amount more akin to grandma's shopping car: the WA-CX24. Features of the Warm Audio WA-CX24

Patterns (nine of them) and stereo widths are adjustable. So this is really a nice creative tinkering product for experienced studio engineers. Recording techniques like XY, M/S and Blumlein are all possible. To give the sound a bit of colour on the cheeks, a 12AY7 vintage tube is present. In short, it is a wonderful microphone that does what you would otherwise buy two mono microphones for. Looked at this way, if the your price of the CX24 were to divide it by two, the price is not too bad either. All in all, an expensive microphone, but a situation in which you can use this microphone will certainly be so high-profile that the investment will be one with conviction.
