Showtec Phantom 225 LED moving head

The Phantom series contains a few great models like the Phantom 25, 50 and 75. Showtec wanted to take it a step further, however, and so the Phantom 225 was born! This 225W moving head has a great light yield, comparable to that of a 250W MSD gas-discharge lamp, but it combines this power with the advantages of LED technology. For one thing, this means that you won't have to replace its lights for many years!

Technology of the Phantom 225 LED

The Phantom 225 LED has a powerful LED cluster of 225 watts on board, in the shape of three 75W modules. These produce an output of 73,100 lux at a 1m distance! Despite of this power, it produces very little heat and the heat it does produce, is effectively disposed of by two near-silent fans. Thanks to LED technology, the mechanical shutter is replaced with an electronic version and even dimming is now possible. Still, the moving head consumes only 375 watts at full power. The Phantom 225 can be controlled via 8 or 14 DMX channels and is overstocked on practical functions. A motorised focus, rotating gobos, rotating 3-faceted prism - all are included!

Use of the Phantom 225 LED

The Phantom 225 LED is fit for applications where you might usually use a Phantom 250 MSD. Thanks to the LED light source, you won't have to replace the lamps for many years and this will save you a lot of money. The Phantom 225 is well suited for use in large party tents, at events, in pubs and restaurants and discotheques, of course.
