The left-handed Sigma OMTC-1EL-SB is a slightly more compact electric-acoustic western guitar with a pleasant 000-14 Fret body shape, making it just a little easier to play than, say, a dreadnought or a jumbo, and the bass register is not too overwhelming either. Although you can of course play it with a pick, this fact does make this 1 Series guitar perfect for playing tasteful fingerpicking parts. The handy cutaway allows you to do this up high on the mahogany neck and the pleasant low profile neck profile ensures that your fret hand has pleasantly light work in the process. The solid spruce top provides a full and resoundingly rich acoustic guitar sound, to which the remaining tilia or linden parts in particular add an extra accent in the midrange. Using the built-in Fishman Presys II preamp, you can amplify this in a balanced way and it is easily possible to emphasise or tone down the bass plus treble. This preamp also has other practical features such as a phase and tuner on board.
