If you thought there wasn't much innovation going on in the world of lighting effects, American DJ proves you wrong with their Ninja 5RX! This compact light effect is best described as a hybrid between a light effect and a moving head. Although it doesn't have an actual moving head, it does have 17 fixed gobos and 15 colours, both in separate wheels. The Ninja 5RX's relies on a powerful Philips MSD Platinum 5R gas-discharge lamp as a light source, which can light up any room with ease.

Possibilities

American DJ gave the Ninja 5RX a rugged housing to make it road-ready and able to survive the rowdiest nightlife conditions. No matter where you use it, the Ninja 5RX will project razor-sharp laser beams at a dispersion angle of 5 degrees, which show up even better when mixed with the effects of a smoke machine.

Controls

You can operate the Ninja 5RX a few different ways. You can set it up to react to the beat of the music, or select one of its 12 automatic pre-programmed shows. Additionally, you can control a number of basic functions with an optional UC IR remote or by using Airstream IR. If you prefer complete control at your fingertips, then you can assign DMX to channels 1, 10 or 13.
