If you are using DMX software to control these lights, and you use the Channel 9 operating mode selection to call up a slow colour fade, then it will automatically assume that any other dmx commands issued to it are to be done at that same speed of fade. This means that if you wanted to go to say a fast Red Blue Green jump sequence, then it will not jump between the colours, but fade them. Even if you return the channel 9 dmx to zero, it still does the same. Your only option is to issue a command to CH9 to go to either a fast jump or fast fade, then go to your dmx issued colour changes, and the fade will be gone. The channel 9 should have the 0 value set to cancel out any fades etc associated with the built in effects so that they dont affect the normal DMX operations.

Additional to my previous review, the clamps that hold the tripod pole lift sections up, are very poor and don't clamp the pole itself at all allowing it to slip back down (this was not with a heavy load, but 4 simple compared LED lights), unless you depend on the through bolt to hold it, this means you have no option but to only allow it to go to heights determined by the hole spacings. I would not recommend this device at all

Bought two units, one arrived with the crossbar bracket broken. Despite emailing customer support almost every day to get it replaced, five days later I have still not received any reply. Not the first time ive had issues with customer support from Max. very very poor replies. if this unit has arrived damaged, I don't hold out much hope for the longevity of the other one, as it appears to be of inferior quality

Pretty robust for the money, though with a couple of oddities. The bolts used for hanging lights from the T-bar are a narrower gauge than those you find on most lighting hooks, etc, so may be incompatible with your other gear in which case you'll have to use the bolts that come with the stand and nothing else. Also the bolt that you tighten to secure the T-bar on to the stand is surprisingly short when you slacken it to lift the bar off the top of the stand there is a risk that the bolt will come all the way out of the nut that it screws into. If this happens the nut can fall out of the housing. More than once I've had to scrabble on the floor or scour the back of my car looking for it.
