General
Ed Sheeran presents his very own Sheeran Looper X: the ultimate writing and performing looper and workstation. With this durable, aluminium-housed unit, you gain the smooth workflow of a powerful multi-track looper mounted with stadium-grade footswitches, an intuitive 7 inch touchscreen with real-time metering and waveform rendering, a complete RGB LED indicator system and a comprehensive tool kit for doing everything from building loops to remixing. Designed by Ed and his production team, the Looper FX wields an adapted version of the HeadRush digital signal processor, plus a small mountain of premium, built-in multi-effects, superior sound quality and extensive connection options - all primed to take the looping game to the next level.
The Sheeran Looper X: Instinctive Control & Smooth Performance
The Sheeran Looper X lines up eight footswitches, which boast exactly the same design as Ed's stadium-looper. These precision-engineered pedals have been forged from an automotive-grade aluminium alloy and mounted onto a tight, matte-black, tour-grade steel chassis. The pedal-surface is placed at an optimum 15 degree angle, guaranteeing smooth access to the looper transport and track controls, and to the performance modes and remix functions, polishing off an instinctive layout. The ultra-responsive 7 inch multi-touch display, meanwhile, has been teamed up with a 360 degree navigation wheel, so you can quickly scroll through the easy-to-read smartphone-style menu structure to find the right performance pages and system settings via a clean and easy to manage UI.
Expanded Options for Every Situation
The connection options supplied by the Sheeran Looper X are literally mind-boggling. Four combo XLR and 6.3mm jack ports are racked up along the rear panel, each fitted with a phantom power switch to support condenser microphones as well as dynamic microphones and instruments. Next to that, two XLR and two 6.3mm jack main outputs are provided and can be fully configured in the internal audio routing matrix accessed via the touchscreen. The opportunity for deeper hands-free control over functions and effect patches is offered by an extra TRS expression pedal input; a 6.3mm jack headphone output and 3.5mm mini-jack input support home rehearsals; and a 5-pin MIDI input and output allow for full MIDI synchronisation and external MIDI control. This unit has even been equipped with USB-A and SD card slots, alongside a class-compliant USB audio interface mode for direct recording or streaming to a Mac or PC.
