Setting up mandolin players with the longer-lasting brightness and fresh playing feel of a set of phosphor-bronze wound strings, every string included in this pack of D'Addario XTM11540 Custom Mediums has been finished with a moisture-repellent protective layer to make them last up to three times longer than average mandolin strings. The coating is microscopically thin to retain smooth and natural playability, while the high-carbon NY Steel core raises tuning stability by a massive 131% and makes each string up to 42% stronger to reduce breakage - no matter how aggressive your playing gets.
