General

The RMA50VY mandolin has been crafted in the American tradition with a little Ortega-flavoured twist. The spruce top and maple back and sides exude quality of build and, to ensure that this quality lasts, the neck is supported with a two-way truss rod so that, as the neck warps due to temperature shifts and humidity over the years, leading to loss of intonation or brightness of sound, the truss rod can be adjusted to bring this mandolin back to full health. The body is mounted with a one-part metal tailpiece that not only stabilises and maintains tuning but reduces any buzzing or unwanted residual noise. This delicately crafted Ortega RMA50VY mandolin comes complete with a strap and its very own gig bag.
