The Sigma Guitars MA-2E is a fine electric-acoustic mandolin (A-style) in a warm vintage sunburst colour. With a hand-carved top of solid spruce and a body of burnt maple, this mandolin sounds bright and full. Perfect for folk and bluegrass! The MA-2E's glossy finish lets the beautiful woodgrain stand out beautifully, especially on the back, where you can clearly see the profile of the 'flamed maple'. In addition, the headstock features the typical Sigma decoration, striking but subtle.

Playing comfort and extras

The thin maple V-neck profile combined with the rosewood fingerboard plays surprisingly light and smooth, ideal for prolonged playing sessions. You tune the MA-2E mandolin easily with the beautiful pearl-coloured tuning knobs. And because you have two more strings than a normal guitar, this is something that has to be done more often with a mandolin... The handy thing about this mandolin is that it has a Fishman 520E-VS element built in. Especially for those situations where you just miss some volume.
