The Placid Instruments PCR24 is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone equipped with an omnidirectional, free-field pickup pattern. While designed for measuring, the PCR24 can also be used to capture acoustic instruments - including drums - in detail thanks to its broad frequency response and its ability to handle a massive maximum sound pressure level of no less than 155dB.
