General
The first generation of Mesh Heads was presented by Roland back in 1997. They were used for electronic drum kits then, but the Roland MH2-18 PowerPly Mesh Head 18-inch bass drum mesh head can also be used on an acoustic drum kit. This allows you to make a drum kit sound a lot softer. These sheets with small holes deliver a very authentic playing feel but fewer decibels. Another option is to fit this sheet with an RT trigger, thus turning your 18-inch bass drum into an electronic version in no time. By using a module, you can connect different sounds to this, turning your entire kit into an electronic set.
