This high-performance API channel strip can be mounted in a standard 19 inch rack and supplies a preamp, EQ, compressor and output module. Basically, this is the kind of unit you can't say no to if you simply demand the highest quality sound. The fact that this strip has been designed and built by API should say enough already, but extra hints include the integrated API 512c preamp which supports both microphones and line-level instruments. The API 527 multi-mode compressor, meanwhile, has been reinforced with THRUST technology that's capable of giving everything a fuller low-end, and in the EQ section, you get a powerful three-band API 550a while an API 325 takes care of the output section. Besides this impressive stack of essentials, a side-chain input, balanced inputs and an output mute switch have all been supplied and, to finish, the clipping level is set to a neat +30dBm and extensive patching options can be found around the back.
