General

The API Audio TCS II Channel Strip bundles up a number of well-known, high-end API components. For a start, you're getting the 512c preamp, which is known for its American punch. Then there's the 527A VCA compressor, which comes with classic API features like feedback/feedforward and thrust controls. Next in line is the 550A Equaliser, which serves up three parametric bands with a proportional Q-factor, where the low and high bands can be set to bell or shelf mode. What's more, at the push of a button, the EQ and compressor can be swapped around in the chain. Last but not least, the audio signal is routed to the 325 Line Driver, which determines the level before the audio goes to your converter. Each bit of kit has its own input and output, and can be easily expanded by patching in other signal processors, like a de-esser between the preamp and compressor.
