General

Warm Audio's WA73-EQ is a modern tribute to the legendary Neve 1073, which was known as the Holy Grail of British EQ preamps. The WA73-EQ accurately reproduces this highly-acclaimed preamp, which is the result of years of development and testing by the most critical audio engineers. You can experience the sound of the WA73-EQ's analogue circuitry through a dynamic ribbon or condenser microphone. This versatile workhorse works with precision and grace, but never sounds cold or clinical; in fact, quite the opposite! Whether you're recording vocals or drums, percussion, or acoustic or electric guitar, it will sound as spectacular as if it was recorded with the Neve 1073.

Hand-crafted

Not only is the WA73-EQ hand-wired just like the 1073 was, its components were hand-crafted and the assembly was also done by hand. Aficionados will know that signal transformers make up an important part of a good preamp, and when they are pushed to the limit, a harmonic distortion can occur without the converters clipping, which is what gives it its characteristic sound. Warm Audio engineers worked very closely with Carnhill Transformers in order to develop a worthy replica of the ones in the 1073. This also goes for resistors, condensers and potentio meters. The last are made by Blore Edwards, a brand known for producing military components! A device of this quality at this price was impossible until now!

Bax Music Warranty This product comes with a 5 year warranty when you register it with warmaudio.com/product-registration. If the product is not registered it has a 3-year warranty.

Warm Audio WA73-EQ microphone preamp and EQ

Bouwkwaliteit voelt solide, Carnhill transformers doen hun werk perfect. Voor deze prijs een absolute topper in elke studio – warm aanbevolen!
