The WA73-EQ accurately reproduces this highly-acclaimed preamp, which is the result of years of development and testing by the most critical audio engineers. You can experience the sound of the WA73-EQ's analogue circuitry through a dynamic ribbon or condenser microphone. Hand-crafted

Not only is the WA73-EQ hand-wired just like the 1073 was, its components were hand-crafted and the assembly was also done by hand. Aficionados will know that signal transformers make up an important part of a good preamp, and when they are pushed to the limit, a harmonic distortion can occur without the converters clipping, which is what gives it its characteristic sound. Warm Audio engineers worked very closely with Carnhill Transformers in order to develop a worthy replica of the ones in the 1073. This also goes for resistors, condensers and potentio meters. The last are made by Blore Edwards, a brand known for producing military components! A device of this quality at this price was impossible until now!
