Triad-Orbit's 'Quick-Change' mechanism finds its way onto almost all of their products. So too on this Retro coupler. The quick exchange of hardware without the hassle of different thread types is revolutionary. Compared to the original, steel IO-R couplers, the IO-RA are 50% lighter due to the use of aluminium. This makes them particularly suitable for live sound and live productions. Besides being half lighter, they are also half cheaper than the IO-R version and this makes them accessible to everyone.
