General

The Golden Age Audio Pre-73 Premier sounds like it was pulled right out of a vintage mixing desk. Packed with discrete class-A components instead of standard ICs, this high-quality microphone preamp features Carnhill input and output transformers for an astronomical 80dB gain as well as impacting lows and velvety-smooth highs. In other words, with this preamp, you won't have to wait until the mixing phase — your recordings are simply going to sound bang-on from the start. Remove excess lows while close-miking using the high-pass filter, flip the PAD switch to attenuate the signal, or activate the Air Boost to lighten up any dark-sounding ribbon mikes.
