Aston makes surprisingly good microphones at incredible prices, and offer impressive accessories to boot. Rycote have developed the Custom Lyre shock mount especially for the Aston Origin and Aston Spirit microphones that boasts better absorption of floor vibrations than any other shock mount on the market. The secret lies in the technology and materials used in its construction; for instance , the USM doesn't use standard elastic bands to suspend the mic. Unlike the universal Aston USM shock mount, the Custom Lyre is designed specifically for these two Aston mics.
